Friday News 6.5.16

Dear Parents/Carers,

School target for w/c 9th May 2016; Be quiet and considerate around school.

Now we have (finally!) got warmer weather we have noticed that a number of children are bringing skateboards and scooters to school with them. Please remember that these should not be used on the playground, particularly at the start and end of the day, due to risk of injury. Children should also not arrive at school before 8.40am as they cannot be supervised at this time.

Governors would like to congratulate Mr Riley who has been appointed to a teaching position at Ledston School starting in September. He will be leaving our school at the end of this academic year and we would like to thank him for his service to us over the last 10 years. We wish him well in his new post. We hope to be able to appoint a new teacher before half term.

Please remember that it is test week in school next week. It is vital that all children attend every day. We want to maintain a quiet environment for everyone who is taking their assessments, and you could help us by encouraging your children to respect other classes when moving around the school. To ensure that your child is able to do their very best throughout the week please encourage them to relax in their time outside school, and help them to get plenty of sleep so that they are fresh each morning.
