Last half term, the Year 6 children enjoyed an exciting trip to London. After a VERY early start (!!), they enjoyed a sightseeing bus tour of many of the main sights. After lunch, there was a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament; taking in the House of Commons, the House of Lords, the Robing Room, Central Lobby and Westminster Palace. The tour guides shared lots of interesting facts and even took the children into the live debate in the House of Commons. Before leaving for home, Nigel Adams MP held a question-and-answer workshop, allowing the children to ask lots of questions and discover more about the job of a Member of Parliament. What an amazing day!
